"c" is a nasty thing that all too many of us have had to deal with, whether it be with a furr family member or fur furiend or a human family member or furiend. Mancat Monday

Last Thursday was an interesting evening for us. These yucky blurps of water came up and ran onto the floor and in some of the carpet. Meowm called and got maintenance over here, and got it cleaned up, but she had to stay home on Friday to wait for them to come back and fix stuff. Well, Meowm didn't have to stay home, but the last time they did something in here without her being here, they left the master key in the lock in the door, for Meowm does not know how long. She got home at 7:30 that evening and there it was.

Anyway, they came over and decided that some purrty extensive stuff needs to be done, and Meowm talked to the manager and we are going to be moving. Meowm is tired of being on the bottom floor and dealing with all the water that can come down from other apartments when things break, so we are moving to the top floor. We will also be facing a different direction, so we will get more afternoon sun, which means we can all sunbathe more!!! WOO HOO!!!

The move probably won't happen till the end of March, early April, but we are very excited. Well not so much for the actual moving stuff, but for when we are settled in.

The bummer is Meowm will have a harder time feeding our ferals. And the nice feral home she just had made, well, it may have to find a new home to go to. She doesn't trust peoples around here to not mess with it, or steal it. She is working on plans for how to handle the feral stuff and hopes she can get things figured out so the babies still get the benefits we have been providing.

It's My Turn

Saturday morning was a nice morning. We all slept in for awhile, then Meowm was up and getting all ready like she does when she will be leaving for a bit. I was still lounging quite comfortably on the big bed. I heard a bit of a ruckus out in the living room, my brofur Orion being slightly displeased about something. I didn't bother to get up to check it out, I was just that comfy! Thge next thing I knew I am being scooped up and deposited in a PTU! Then I look over and now know why Orion was displeased, he is in the other PTU! What the hell? We never go anywhere in these things together. So we are hauled out to the big machine on wheels and off we go.

Oncew we got to the v-e-t place, which I was purrty certain where we were going, and got into our own room, Meowm opened up the PTU's and out I jumped. I had to make my rounds and sniff everything out. Then I plop down on the floor and cool off a bit, then make my rounds again. Orion found a corner and stayed there.

Purrty soon the v-e-t comes in and Meowm puts me up on the counter. I immediately rubbed on the v-e-t, just to make her feel a bit better, and to hopefully butter her up a bit so she wouldn't say any words like "diet". It worked!!!!! She melted and the word was not mentioned. However, she did look at my tail and then I was hauled to the back room where they took away tufts of my furs!!!!! I have two bald spots on my tail! In all fairness, the v-e-t did ask me if I would be okay with looking like this for a bit, but she didn't wait very long for my response. Also she stole the furs on my chin! Then she poked at my, oh I hate to admit it, at my acne. Once that was over, thankfully I was done! The v-e-t talked to Meowm about how to take care of my tail (I still have the stud tail issue) and the acne and I was free to roam again.

I roamed and sniffed while they looked over my brofur, and while he was getting hissed off at them in the back. I roamed when they brought him back in and discussed how his lungs were doing (see Mondays post for this info). Then we were stuffed back in the PTU's and off we went. Meowm made a couple of drive thru stops, then were were home! And boy were we glad to be there!!!!!

So now you know the story of our weekend. We spent the rest of it napping, eating and playing. Orion was so angry at the v-e-t that I thought he would go pee on the big bed in protest, but he was a good mancat and didn't do that.

Yes, we have been demanding, and getting some extra treats! Hopefully this keeps up for awhile!

You would not believe the indignities I suffered over the weekend! Meowm loaded me up into a PTU and I knew immediately where she was taking me! I don't like that place! Someone took my front claws at a place like this. Yes, it was the evil
v-e-t place. I have been sneezing and sounding a bit wheezy so Meowm took me in to get looked at.

The first thing they did to me was clip my back claws. Meowm tries to do this to me, but I am very fierce when it comes to keeping my remaining claws as long as possible. I don't care that they don't retract and that Meowm gets poked by them on a regular basis. They are the only claws I have and I will fight to the death to keep them! Well unfortunately, between Meowm and the v-e-t they got my claws clipped. I guess I will have to resort to using my awesome fangs more!

Speaking of fangs, I over heard them saying I needed a dental. I know that both of my brofurs had teeth stolen when they went in for dentals, so I am askeered that I am going to get my teeth stolen too. Is it not bad enough that they have already taken my claws? Must they take my teeth too?

After the v-e-t listened to my lungs and stuff, she said she needed to get a picture. Why in the world does she need a picture when I am right in front of her? Why does she need a picture when Meowm has several and she could have given her one? What? Oh, Meowm just said they needed a picture of my insides. That explains why it was different from the usual flashy box that Meowm uses.

But, before the picture was taken, I suffered very unnecessary indignities! You all know what they do to you. You all know about that thing they put in your bootie! Well, as if once isn't enough, the evil v-e-t did this to me THREE times! Yes, THREE!!! Apparently she wasn't happy with the reading the first two times, so she went in for a third. My bootie may never be the same again!

So by the time I actually went back to have my picture taken, I was already good and hissed off. I decided it was past time for my anger to be known so I let them have it. I won't say what all I did, but they ended up putting me behind bars till Meowm looked at my pictures too, and then scooped me up and got me the hell out of that place! My picture was similar to the last on taken, so I am back on prednisolone and have been taking terbutaline all along. Meowm needs to get a humidifier and needs to check into the filters in our home. This will actually be helpful for all of us, as Junior has a bit of asthma and Meowm has asthma also.

It was a very traumatic day! I was never so glad to see home as I was that day! I am still waking up from nightmares about being poked in the bootie so many times! Evil v-e-t!

Yep, here I am again. You would think this is the only pose I have since Meowm uses this picture so much. It is staying lighter longer, so maybe Meowm will actually get some other pictures of me. I think she has a few videos of me too, that she should be sharing with all of you. Sheesh! We are going to have to fire her if she doesn't shape up!!!

I had the place to myself for awhile on Saturday morning. I'm not going to share anymore of the story, I will let my brofurs do that this week. I almost didn'tknow what to do with myself, having no other cats to terror......err I mean play with, but I managed to enjoy myself. At least I didn't get the evil eye, or yelled at a bit for attacking tails.

Well, I better go and take a nap.....it is hard work keeping Meowm up all night!

We Had Company

We had company Tuesday night and yesterday! I heard two more voices at home! I was hiding under the big bed, cause it's what I do when I hear things I don't recognize. I hung out under there for awhile, but finally got brave and came out. I didn't let them pet me, but I did sniff out their things. ~~Sammy

Yep, we had company! I had a good time sniffing stuff out! They set up that big bed with air in it and Junior and I hung out on it for a bit. One of the people put this funny thing on the big bed of air. It was kind if slippery and I enjoyed doing machine paw on it. I even let them pet me a little bit! ~~Orion

Yes, Meowm had two ladies came visit. At first I thought maybe it was Grandmeowm and Grandpaw, but it wasn't. I sniffed out all their stuff and it had some woofie smells on it! They settled in to watch a movie and one of them had a pillow on her lap, so I made myself comfy there. Meowm was astounded that I did that. (I have to surprise her sometimes.) I let that lady pet me for a bit, then moved on. It was fun having some different people stay over night! ~~Junior

One of my oldest friends came in with one of her daughters for a doctors visit. We had a good time, and the boys really had a good time. Well Junior and Orion had a good time. Sammy is still a spooky boy, but I am certain that will change. ~~Meowm

Meowms friend had to help her kitty cross the bridge on Tuesday. Her name is Dusky, she is a dilute calico/tortie. Please purr and cross some paws for them. Her Mom, Sandy, is missing her and is very sad. Dusky had CRF and she got fluids for just over a week, but Sandy could tell she was tired and was ready to go, so she gave her the ultimate gift, she ended her suffering. We know they will be together again one day, and what a reunion it will be.

Till we meet later Dusky, have fun over the bridge.

Orion: Meowm and I are exhausted! My brofurs were so bad last night!!! Sammy likes to pounce on tails.

Sammy: I love to pounce on most anything but tails are so much fun!

Orion: And he wouldn't leave Juniors tail alone.

Junior: Damn young whippersnapper! My tail is having enough issues, what with Meowm sticking me in that giant tub of water and washing it! And then if she hasn't washed it, she is poking around on it, looking to see if it is doing better. JUST LEAVE MY TAIL ALONE!!!

Orion: Did I mention Junior is a bit grumpy?

Sammy: Pounce, pounce, pounce. I love to pounce!

Orion: Anyway, Sammy wouldn't leave tails alone last night, and then Junior would get hissed off and a skirmish would ensue.

Sammy: I like to skirmish!

Junior: Damn young whippersnapper!

Orion: So the first time, Meowm got out the canned air and sprayed in the general direction, and they calmed down so Meowm went back to bed.

Sammy: I love mousies!!!

Orion: Then later, another skirmish develops and Meowm gets up and puts Sammy in the PTU and Junior and I were closed inside the human litterbox room.

Sammy: I hate cages!!!!!

Junior: I was quite content being away from the brat!

Orion: Sammy wouldn't be quiet in the PTU so Meowm finally let him out.

Sammy: FREEDOM!!!!!

Orion: And he promptly came over to the human litterbox room door and started meowing. Meowm ignored him for ahile, but then I started meowing back at him. I hadn't done anything wrong, I didn't want to be closed up in there!

Junior: I was being purrfectly quiet.

Sammy: I wanted tails to pounce on!

Orion: Meowm came over and let us out and all was well for awhile. Then another skirmish and all hell broke loose. Meowm jumped out of bed and started pitching pillows at my brofurs. And she was telling them off and she was using words from the bad word list. My brofurs finally hid under the big bed.

Junior and Sammy: She was ranting and raving and we thought for sure our lives were at an end! We had no choice but to retreat, she was acting like a crazy woman! She was acting like she needed to get some sleep for cods sake!

Orion: After that things finally calmed down, Meowm got back in bed and eventually my brofurs came out from under the bed. Meowm finally got some sleep and my brofurs calmed down.

Junior: Damn young whippersnapper!

Sammy: I love sparkle balls too!

Meowm: Damn brats. I finally got to sleep about 3 this morning. They will enjoy napping today while I am at work. It's nights like that when I wish I had a second bedroom or a door for my one bedroom. And they behaved this morning like nothing had happened last night. Sheesh!!!

Well, we were told more of that white stuff was coming, but it hasn't showed up yet. Thank cod!

We all had a lazy evening last night.....just laying about enjoying being able to relax in warmth and comfort. We purred for those without all that we have.

It's almost Friday! Meowm swears all she wants to do is stay at home this weekend. She says she has been doing so much running around that she just wants to hibernate for a weekend. We will see how that goes!

Sammy has been fishing toys out of the toy container this week. Guess he is tired of the ones that are currently out. It gives Meowm a chuckle to see him do this. She just needs to get the flashy box out and get some pictures or videos of it, but it is kinda dark in our apartment. Meowm will have to wait and hope he does it on a nice bright weekend in the day time.

I have claimed the top spot on the cat tree as my own, my brofurs haven't figured that out yet. When I jump up there with my brofur there is grumbling till he gets out of my way. Meowm can't decide if she wants to get us a second tree or just a bigger tree, but she is leaning towards a second tree.

We are getting the white stuff today. I am so very glad I don't have to be outside in that. I do talk to my furiends out there and give them encouragement though. If only they could have homes too.

We are mourning the loss of our sweet furiend Lolo. Lolo had not been feeling well, and had battled feeling well recently. It was found out that Lolo had been battling cancer, and ultimately his family let him go. We will miss sweet Lolo. Please go over and visit with his family, we know their hearts are broken.

Meowm is a bit concerned for me. She found another bit of my furs this morning, and it looks like the spot that was torn out before has a new scratch on it. She's is going to journey to IKEA this weekend to see what kinds of shelves they have, and she will be getting a refill for the Feliway.

That Sammy is just massively rambunctious! It is a good thing she has left the PTU out for me to hide in.

Thursday Purrs and Prayers

Purrs, prayers and crossed paws are needed for so many, but today we are featuring these two. Lolo is one of our favorite kitties and he is having some serious troubles. Please go over, if you haven't already, and leave some good thoughts for him and his family.

We like woofies and even though we don't visit many of them, we do try to offer purrs when we hear of one being sick. Pip is having some heart troubles and could use some good thoughts too.

We know there are others out there who needs our purrs, prayers and crossed paws, and we are doing so for all of them.

Apparently a semi miracle was worked on our computer and it should be fine. We can go pick it up, and if we are careful, it should last us a couple more years. Meowm just needs to back up all of our lovely pictures and we are good to go.

Meowm is glad December is over, and we agree! She was gone way too much for our liking! She tells us that now she will be around so much we will get tired of her. We doubt that, but one never knows.

We did get lots of goodies for Christmas and we have gotten lots of snuggles and play time when Meowm has been here. She has gotten a few more pictures of Sammy too. She has decided she needs to have the camera out more often, because of his antics.

Meowm is still cleaning out Sammys ears, and still working on Juniors tail. They both hate having this done, so it is a sight to see when they are getting their "medicines".

We hope this new year brings much happiness, good health and prosperity to all!

I'm thankful it was my brofur Junior fighting with Sammy this morning and not me! I try to steer clear of fights since I don't have front claws. When Meowm heard all the racket she flew out of bed faster than I have ever seen her move! Of course by the time she hit the living room (which isn't far, our home is only 551 square feet) they had quit fighting. Meowm chastised Sammy, and checked Junior over for bites. None that she could find, but there was a spot about the size of a nickel where Junior had lost fur. Well, he lost more than that, but that seems to be the biggest spot. Meowm doctored it up a bit since the skin was broken from having that big of a chunk pulled out, then gave him some lovin's. Once she had calmed down, and Junior had calmed down, she went back to Sammy. She had a good talk with him, and got him settled down. Everycat went to their corners, including me, and Meowm got on about the business of her morning, feeding us and such. At one point in time, Junior started stalking back over to Sammy. Meowm put a stop to that right quick. I hope they behave themselves today, and I know Meowm does too. She says as soon as she can she is getting a bigger cat tree, and is going to double check on some of that shelving for the walls, if she can find space to put them up.

We would appreciate some purrs for peace in our household. Meowm and I certainly don't want anymore fighting, we aren't too sure about Junior and Sammy right now.

Not So Wordless Wednesday

We are finally back! Meowm returned from her trip, and she says she isn't going anywhere else for a long time. We were all very happy to see her. We couldn't get close enough to her last night! We heard her say she needs a bigger bed for all of us, but it wouldn't do any good. We would still snuggle up to her and pin her!

Meowm also says she is going to have to stop traveling because each time she has come back lately there has been a problem to fix. This time the computer is going wonky. She can log in, but then it gives a "windows encountered a problem closing" message and it reboots, and it keeps doing this. Luckily the Bare Toe Ladies brofur is coming to town and he is one of those IT guys. Meowm will bribe him with coffee, as he loves the stuff, and hopefully it will be an easy fix.

We hope everycat and their people are well. We will try to catch up with a bunch of you!

That new meezer in the house if full of energy! He is all over the place....well when he is awake he is! He almost got in trouble this morning because he was making Junior make all kinds of noise. So much noise that Meowm sprang out of bed! Maybe that was his plan.....hmmmmm.

I have been so glad that Meowm is back! She was gone for 6 days! I laid near her last night and purred and purred. She even commented that my engine was working over time last night. I can't help it! I love my Meowm!

Our stockings have been h ung up for some time now, but I don't see anything in them yet. Hopefully Santa will get them filled up for us!

Holy smokes folks! Meowm is busy, busy, busy. She just got back yesterday from North Dakota after helping with inventory at that branch for her jobbie. She had left last Tuesday morning! We missed her tons! She is back at the jobbie here in town today, and will be playing catch up, then she leaves again soon to visit her family for Christmas. We have been holding down the fort and enjoying our sitter, she gives us lots of treats!

We will be hit and miss with commenting and visiting, but we hope all is well with everyone, and that all of you have a Merry Christmas and we are purring and praying for all those in need.

And she has been busy at home clearing stouff out for us cats to have more space, and getting us all doctored and getting medicine in us. We are all doing better, but we still fight her when she gives us medicine. She is going to have to have someon over when she wbathes Juniors tail to get some pictures.

So I got stuffed into the PTU last night and hauled off to the v-e-t. Now, I like certain parts of the v-e-t. I like being able to sniff around and check everything out. If they would let me I would check out the entire building! So I had no fun havingyou know what put you know where, and I was on the high side of normal for a temperature. My tail got looked at and poked at a bit, which I didn't appreciate much. My v-e-t confessed she hadn't heard of stud tail and she had to look it up, but she agreed that is what it was. So I ended up with a shampoo (Seborhea) for my tail, and a spot-on pipette of the same type stuff as the shampoo. Meowm had my lungs x-rayed because I was having some asthma like coughs. Sure enough, I have a bit of asthma, not as much as Orion, so I just got a depo-medrol shot. If I start having little attacks in about 6 weeks, then I will go on prednisolone. Meowm and I also came home with some Ketoseb wipes to help with the acne, and the pipettes can help the acne too.

At this point in time, Meowm would just like all of us to be well for at least 6 months. Oh, and about an extra $1000.

Meowm is feeling a bit like a not so good Meowm right now. It appears I have stud tail, both Orion and I have broken out with feline acne and she is still dealing with Sammy's ears. She is feeling overwhelmed and feeling like nothing she is doing is helping.

It is becoming more of a battle to get Sammy's ears cleaned. The antibiotics are gone and she thinks his ears are just dirty now, but he runs from her when he thinks she is going to put stuff in them. And he is having diarrhea, so she has some fortiflora on the way to hopefully help him with that.

She is going to try to wash my tail every other day and see if that helps before she takes me to the v-e-t. You can imagine how much fun that is for both of us. She noticed the other night that I had very warm ears, but wrote it off to the fact that maybe I had my head curled up into my body and they were just warm from that. But she read something about a cats ears and fever, so now combined with the stud tail and the still quite warm ears, well it looks like I will be visiting the v-e-t after all.

As for the acne Orion and I have, she is trying to find a good food, without it being to expensive. So far it doesn't seem to be working to well.

We could all use some purrs please.

Wonderful, wonderful Friday!

Friday!!! WOO HOO!!! It used to be just another day to me, but now it means Meowm will be around more! I have a few mixed feelings about that because she is still messing with my ears and I don't like that. But she feeds me and pets me and plays with me, and she is good to curl up on and nap on.

Oh, you know what I find spooky? Meowm puts this thing on in the morning and it makes funny noise and makes her look bigger! She says it is a winter coat and she has ro wear it when it gets cold cause she doesn't have furs like I do to keep warm. Whatever it is, it scares me and I run from her when she puts it on.

Meowm also has hung some new stuff up in our home. She hung up these things thatshe calls stockings. I have no idea what they are for, but I would like to whap them! She also put some things up she calls ornaments and I would like to whap those to. She says normally ornaments go on trees, but we don't have a good spot to put one of those so she is justs hanging things around the apartment. Those things on trees seem weird to me, but whatever. And then I am told that all this new stull revolves around something called Christmas, and that I will probably get some gifts. WOW!! I get more gifts? How can anything top the best gift I got this year, a home of my own?

We are here, and thankful to be here. We have so much that so many others don't. Everyday that we wake up with a roof over our heads, food in our tummies and health good enough that we can get fairly easy thru the day is a day to be thankful for. If wishes would solve what we wish for, there would be no hungry animals, no homeless animals, no abused animals, no sick animals and so much more. We is sad for our furiend
Dr. Tweety. Dr. Tweety has been diagnosed with the evil "c". Unfortunately nothing can be down for him, so he has decided to live out the rest ofhis life having as grand a time as he can. If you would stop by and offer some purrs or crossed paws we would appreciate it.

Also our furiend GJ is having some tummy troubles again. If you could stop by and offer some purrs or crossed paws for him as well we are certain they would help bunches.

We are certain there are others out there in need of purrs and crossed paws, so let's all do that for all the others as well.

Holy meow! With two meezers in the house I am going to have to step up my game! I can't have them taking over everything! Thankfully, I still get my coveted spot on Meowms lap, so that is good. Sammy and I are starting to play a little. Well he is playing with Junior a little too. Meowm gets a little freaked out when she hears some funny meows come out of one of us when we are playing, so she keeps a close eye on us. But I am enjoying having a younger cat to play with.

I haven't been having any asthma attacks, but Meowm does have to figure out a new wet food for us and get me back on my meds, I am a real trouble to pill. Meowm has tried hiding my meds in all kinds of things, even smashing it to help hide it, but I k now it is there. She has found it best to smash it up in stinky goodness, so that is what she is searching for. She thinks the combination fo the recent dry food and the wet food she was giving us is what caused the acne. She uses only metal dishes for us, as she was told plastic ones help cause acne. I hope she figures out something soon, because I don't want all my chin furs going away.

Hey!!! Our good furiend Kimo finally decided to come home! He was on his walk-about for two weeks and finally made it back home. We are all very happy that he is back as his people, especially the little one, missed him terribly. We hope he never goes on another walk-about!

WE GOT TURKEY!!!!!!!! It is so yummy! We want more and more!

We had a wonderful time! Meowm was home for 4 days!!! We got so many snuggles and so much play time, it was so nice! And we had plenty of snoozes on the big bed. Sammy is joining us more and more, but we aren't certain he stays thru the night.
Meowm is still working on his ears, they just have so much dirt and stuff in them. He hates getting the cleaner put in, but it will be best for him in the long run.

Meowm is going to have to change up our foods. It seems that Orion and I (Junior) are getting feline acne from the current foods. Orion has lost furs on his chin, and Meowm keeps a good eye on my chin. I haven't lost furs, but Meowm thinks I have more of a break out than I did before. She got some different food yesterday, so hopefully that will help.

Other than that, we pray for our furiends in need, whether they be lost, hungry or otherwise in need and we help where we can.

The Day Before Turkey Day

I have lots to be thankful for this year. I found a lady who loves me and is taking care of me. This means I no longer have to wonder where my next meal is coming from. I don't have to look for a warm or cool place to sleep each night. I always have fresh water to drink. I have more toys to play with than I could have ever imagined! My health needs are taken care of and I no longer feel yucky and worn down. Most of all, I am LOVED!!!

What a weekend we had! Lots of time with Meowm! We all got our own snuggles and pets and play time. Meowm worked a little more on clearing stuff out so we have lots of space to roam, but she says she still has more to do. We did have some white stuff on Friday evening, so we woke up to it on Saturday. We enjoyed a few window whiffies, but just a few because it was cold. We still have a few duckies hanging around, so we still enjoy watching them.

We are all sleeping on the big bed with Meowm at least part of the night. Some nights Sammy gets up and goes somewhere else, but he is spending more time on the big bed each night. Meowm is delighted! She would much rather have him sleeping on the big bed with us at night, than roaming around playing with all the toys! Or grooming himself! He grooms alot and is a very noisy groomer. We may have to resort to him doing that on the mornings that Meowm doesn't want to get up and feed us!

Speaking of Sammy, he is almost done with all his meds, his mouth healed up well. We are still working on his ears, and he hates Meowm messing with them, but she gets it done. And Meowm really needs to get some more pictures of him!

Another Friday has rolled around and we are especially glad Meowm is home for this one. It is looking yucky o utside so we think it is going to get real cold and maybe drop some of that white stuff. Prime time to be snuggled up to Meowm.

I have to have gunk put in my eyes thanks to that new brofur of mine. I sure hope all that stuff that he is taking makes his sneezes go away! I don't want to have to take any more medicine!!!

Sammy Thursday

Meowm took me back to the v-e-t last night. I wasn't happy to be put in the PTU. Last time I was very quiet in the PTU, but this time I let my feelings be known. I tried and tried to get out, but my claws of doom just weren't quite sharp and strong enough.

Once we got to the v-e-t, I didn't want to come out of the PTU! I knew yucky things were going to happen, even though Meowm assured me nothing bad would happen. I was right! It wasn't bad having my mouth looked at, which had healed up wonderfully, but I ended up having things poked in my ears! Two times in each one! Then yucky stuff got put down my throat! The only saving grace for this trip was I didn't get the you know what stuck up you know where.

I got settled in back home and was just calming down from my ordeal when along comes Meowm and puts more stuff in my ears! She put that stuff in there, then rubbed and rubbed, and then I finally got to shake my head! I couldn't shake it hard enough to get all that stuff out! Then along came Meowm again with these things that look like little tiny clouds. Meowm rubbed one around in each of my ears, and then finally left me alone! I'm going to have to watch her closely these next few days to make sure she doesn't sneak up on me with anymore gunk for my ears!

Meowm here: Sammy ended up with a cleaning solution and two antibiotics. The cleaning solution and one antibiotic for his ears and the other antibiotic for his sneezing. I also got some ointment for Junior's eyes, as he is having some gunk come out of one of them, I believe from Sammy sneezing. Sammy also got a supplement which I rub on his fur and he grooms it away. Poor guy. I hope he gets all better soon!

Meowm packed up a bag and took off for a few days. She is back now and we are so very happy to have her back. We were taken very good care of while Meowm was gone by her friend the Tall Lady. She came over and fed us, petted us and played with us. Sammy even came out and visited with her!! We had lots of fun with her!

Meown went and visited her step-sisters. Maybe some of you saw the silly picture sheposted of them on that Facebook thing. We did smell other kitties and woofies on her when she got back, but at least she didn't bring them home with her!

Once Meowm gets caught up at work and at home, we hope to get back to regular blogging and visiting!

There was lots going on around here this weekend. Stuff was coming out of hiding places and people were over moving things around. I hid under the bed as I am still kind of spooky. Once I came out there was a big pile of stuff to check out. Meowm says it will be donated, whatever that means. She said it was cleaning and re-arranging to help give me and my brofurs more space. Wow!!! I have brofurs!!! That is so cool!!!

I am feeling much better after my trip to the v-e-t. The people there told my Meowm I was a very good boy. All I know is I was poked and prodded alot, fell asleep for awhile and when I woke my mouth felt funny. But it was a good funny because some of my teeth were hurting me. I also got a bath and was told that I behaved like an Angel for that one. I guess I am a purrty magnificent cat huh?

I have been taking my meds well because it is buried in my foods, and I gobble that right up. However, the meds for my ears I hate! I run from Meowm (I have a Meowm!!!!!) and flatten my ears so she has a hard time putting those drops in there. Then I shake my head and the drops go flying onto Meowm. I love that part. But she isn't giving up, and I have to say that my ears are feeling better.

All in all I am settling in and liking it here. I would still like to go outside, and did escape for a moment the other day, but was scooped up before I could decide where to go. Ah well. It wasn't so bad going back inside where it was warm and comfy.

Meowm did tell me that I am FIV+, and she told me that I can get sick easier than most cats. She thinks I got it from one of the bites that she helped me with when I was still outdoors all the time. But she told me not to worry as she was going to do her best to take excellent care of me. I feel like I have won the lottery!!!

We just learned this morning that Gentlemen Beaus Mom, Cathy, has passed away. We are very shocked to learn this. We knew she was having some troubles, but we thought she would be okay. We are purring for Cathy and her family, but we are mostly concerned for sweet Beau. He is apparently staying with Cathy's sister, and we hope he does well with her, we are purring that it is so.

Rest in Peace Cathy. The blogosphere will do their very best to watch out for Beau.

Why do short weeks feel longer than regular weeks? We had Meowm home on Monday, and it seems like it has been forever since we had her home for a day!

That other cat keeps coming in for a visit. We are all doing okay with it so far. Meowm is wishing she had taken him to the v-e-t when she had originally planned.

Well, I got loaded up in the PTU last night and off we went in the big machine on wheels to the v-e-t. I was not a happy camper! However, once I saw my v-e-t it was evident that some other critter was even less happy than I was! She had a black eye and stitches below her eyebrow. Apparently a woofie was a bit upset and she paid the price. Ouch!

I was very nervous to be at the v-e-t.....I was shaking! Meowm felt real bad the the v-e-t lady was very nice to me. I got scooped up and taken to the back room where they took pictures of my insides. It is official now, I have asthma. I had been having some attacks again, and Meowm was very concerned, so now we know.

Meowm wanted to do an inhaler, but they are $100! EEEKKK!!! Why is it so many green papers to take care of us??? Anyway, Meowm deicded we would start with pills (yuck) and see how those work. She just has to figure out a way to get them down me.

I got two shots too! But at least I didn't get anything put up my you know what!

So what am I thankful for today, besides not agetting anything put up myyou know what? Well, now we know for certain and I can stay on medicines and get better. No more asthma attacks. And Meowm didn't get mad at me when she discovered I had peed in the carrier. Yep, I was that nervous! Luckily Meowm had put a towel in the carrier, so the pee didn't get all of the seat of the new machine on wheels.

In Sammy news, he is quite happy to come inside, and he wants to come in after Meowm gives him food in the mornings, but Meowm doesn't have time before going to work, so that has to wait till the weekend. And he won't be able to see the v-e-t till the end of October now. We hope he stays okay till then.

Meowm still doesn't know if Sammy will come in full time, but at the very least she hopes to be able to keep him in at night during the nasty winter.

So Meowm is wondering if those of you that are coming out for Blogpaws 2012, or thinkging about coming out, if you would like to stay a few extra days and go down to Best Friends to volunteer or visit for a few days. It is a 5-6 hour drive from Salt Lake so a day would need to be added to get down there and to return. So if you came for Blogpaws, which is 3 days, then spent 2 or 3 days at Best Friends, with the 2 days drive, your vacation would be 7 or 8 days. Meowm has wanted to go down there, and this would be a purrfect time. And it would be so fun with all of us cat/animal lovers!

Think about it, discuss it with others you know who are going to Blogpaws and let Meowm know.

Meezer Monday

Guess what? Sammy the meezer came inside this weekend. We didn't see him because Meowm sutffed us in the litterbox room, but we could smell that he had been in. Meowm said she opened the door and he wandered in purrty quickly. She figured he would be more spooked and take more time. He went around and checked some stuff out, but about the time he was going to check out the space under the big bed, she had to shoo him back outside.

Meowm knows she can't afford to really bring him into the family. Well, she already feeds him, and is considering taking him to the v-e-t still for a few things before winter hits. But bringing him in on a permanent basis is still very questionable. Meowm still doesn't know if he will spray, or if Orion will pee on things. Plus 3 cats and one human in a 551 square foot apartment just isn't enough room for everyone. She is hoping to make a really nice winter home and that may end up having to be the winter home for Sammy.

Thankful Thursday

Today we are thankful for all our furiends; for those who have passed, but our lives have been enriched by them. For those who are still with us who continue to delight us and enrich our lives, and for those we have not yet met, because we know they will enrich our lives also.

We are thankful that we are able to help others, if only a small bit.

As always, we are thankful to have a roof over our heads, food in our bellies, toys to play with and mostly the tons of love we get from our family and furiends.

Also, we are thankful for our military. Today we join those in Virginia for a day of mourning for the loss of so many SEALs on the 6th of this month. As you all know Meowm volunteers at the Navy SEAL Museum in Florida each November, and SEALs hold a special place in her heart. We know you probably already have, but please say a prayer for the families of all those lost, both on the 6th and from all the previous months and years.

Hugs and gentle headbutts to all of you!

Well, my brofur purrty much blabbed all the news yesterday, so I am not quite sure what to say.

I am not sure how I feel about Meowm spending time outside with that other meezer. I sniff him thru the screen door, and that is okay, but I don't know how I will feel if she dares bring him in. I guess time will tell on that one.

I did kind of get Meowm this morning. She wasn't ready to get up but I was ready for some water....and I mean the kind right out of the faucet! I meowed and meowed over by the human litterbox room, but Meowm was stubborn this morning and didn't get up to let me have any water. However, when she did finally get up, it was the first thing she did. Looks like I have some more training to do.

Meezer Monday

Hey everybody! Maybe now that Meowm has the metal box on wheels thing taken care of we can get back to some regular blogging. We sure hope so anyway.

Meowm did have some trouble publishing last Fridays post because she downloaded Internet Explorer 9 and hasn't figured out what the problem is yet. But she can just help us set the posts up, save them, and post them once she gets to the jobbie-thing.

We had a wonderful weekend. A short burst of rain with some high winds cooled everything off on Saturday night, so it made for comfy napping and good sniffles thru the big sliding door!

Meowm stayed home with us all day and night on Saturday. It was amazing and wonderful! We got scritches and play time and nap time! Couldn't ask for a better day!

Meowm continues to work with Sammy meezer and is hoping she can get him to the
v-e-t, but doesn't want to scare him off again, so she is taking things slow.
When he got taken away with the TNR kitties he didn't come around for quite some time and Meowm isn't ready for that to happen. She hopes she can get him very used to her and possibly comfy coming inside before she trieS to take him to get looked at. Time will tell what will happen. She would like to at least give him a warm place to sleep inside during the Winter.

Whew!!! We are so very glad it is Friday, but not as glad as Meowm is. She had to decide earlier in the week whether or not to get a new metal box on wheels. She finally decided she should, then she had to apply for a loan.

Now Meowm has never been spectacular with her monies, and was terrible when she was younger and had bad credit. We have no idea what credit did to be called bad, but it was. So she filled out an application and was surprisingly cleared for a tidy sum. The hunt was on!

In the beginning she thought she might get a car from 1997 with only 36,000 miles on it, but as it turns out she was able to find one from 2007 with about 35,500 miles on it! WOO HOO! The new metal box on wheels is called a Pontiac G6 and Meowm feels absolutely spoiled in it! She says it has lots of automatic things and it can even start from just pushing a couple of buttons! We are sure we will get to ride in it one day, but we are not in a hurry for that!

So all that kept Meowm from helping us blog as much this week. However now that it is all done and her stress levels are lowering, she says she hopes to help us get back on track!
